Coaching Staff Bios

  Head Coach:  Tom Iffrig

     Tom Iffrig enters his 19th year as a soccer coach and 8th year as varsity coach for the girls soccer program at Pattonville High School.  During his varsity tenure, Pattonville has compiled an overall record of 153-60-2 and has captured 5 Conference Championships, 7 District Championships and has earned 2 trips to the Final Four, finishing as State Runner-Up in 2010! 

     Coach Iffrig is a 1992 graduate of Pattonville where he played Baseball, Basketball and Soccer.  After High School, Iffrig earned both athletic and academic scholarships to attend and play soccer for Harris-Stowe State College in St. Louis, where he was captain of the team for three years, All Conference for two years, Academic All-Conference for three years and was named Student-Athlete of the Year in 1996.  In 1997, Iffrig was asked to be the assistant soccer coach at Harris-Stowe and helped lead the Hornets to a Conference Championship!

     Coach Iffrig holds the “National Diploma” from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.  In addition, he has earned his “D” Coaching license from the USSF as well as the Junior Level IV Diploma, Goalkeeper Level I Diploma and Advanced Regional Diploma through the NSCAA. Iffrig has continued his coaching education by attending many soccer coaches clinics, including; The Champions Coaches Clinic in Connecticut, The USA Coaches Clinic in St. Louis, The World Class Coaching Clinic in Kansas City and NSCAA National Convention’s in Charlotte, St. Louis, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Kansas City and Indianapolis.   

Coach Iffrig is married to Karin and has 2 children, Cambrea and Branson.

Varsity Assistant:  Stephanie Huseman

     Stephanie begins her second season with Pattonville as the assistant varsity coach after helping guide the Pirates to a State Quarterfinal appearance. Stephanie started her coaching career at Hickman High School in Columbia Missouri. She spent four seasons as the girl's varsity assistant coach, and one season as the boy's JV coach. During Stephanie's experience at Hickman, the girls won 3 district championships, and made it to the final four of the Missouri High School State Championship. While in Columbia, Stephanie had the opportunity to coach at Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri where she was the assistant coach and also trained the goalkeepers.

Stephanie then headed to Edwardsville High School in Edwardsville, Illinois to become the girl's head coach, where she led them to a regional championship. After Edwardsville she returned to her hometown of Anchorage, Alaska to take on the girls head coaching role at East Anchorage High School for four seasons, and the boy's JV coaching position for one season. She has a total of ten years of high school coaching experience, along with her NSCAA Regional Goalkeeping Coaches Diploma, and her USSF National “F” Coaching License.

Stephanie is a 2000 graduate of Bartlett High School in Anchorage. She earned high school all-state and all-conference honors three years in a row, and four state titles with her club teams. In addition to high school soccer, Stephanie also participated in cross-country running and varsity cross-country skiing. Stephanie came to the mid-west after being recruited to play for Mizzou, where she was a four-year letter-winner as a goalkeeper. During her time at Mizzou, the tigers made it to the second round of the NCAA tournament.

Stephanie is a math teacher at Pattonville High School and has a two-year old son named Brandon.

Junior Varsity:  Tomi Benney

     Coach Benney is entering her third year coaching at Pattonville High School. 

     Coach Benney comes to Pattonville after completing her Business Administration Degree from Maryville University in just three years!  During her soccer career at Maryville University, Tomi was a four year starter and captain of her team for two of those years.  Coach Benney is also a graduate of Pattonville where she started on the varsity team for 4 years, earned all-conference 3 years, was captain and led her team to the “Final Four” her senior year while placing 3rd in State!

     We are excited to have the opportunity to have Tomi back as part of the coaching staff! 

Freshmen:  Dan Woehrmann

      Coach Woehrmann is in his 19th year of coaching at Pattonville High School.  Woerhmann coaches both the boy’s and girls’ soccer teams but has experience as varsity assistant and head varsity coach.

     Woerhmann is a 1991 graduate of Pattonville High School where he was captain of the soccer team that won a District title. He was named All-Conference for 2 years and was 2nd team All-state in 1991 and also started in the North/South Senior All-Star game.  After high school, Woerhmann went on to play for Florissant Valley Community College who was ranked #2 Nationally where he was named All-Region and then played and started for the University of Kentucky which was a top 25 team in the nation.  Woerhmann was also a member of the Scott Gallagher soccer club who was nationally ranked.

     Coach Woerhmann is married to Kathie (1991 Pattonville graduate) and they have a son named, Emory.
