    --Maryland Heights Day of Service is Sat. April 29 8:30-noon--come to CSO for info

    --Drumond Carnival is Friday, May 5 from 4:15-7:30. Sign up in CSO.

    --Pattonville Youth Garden (at the Learning Center) needs volunteers after school anyway in May. Contact Simon Amies at samies@psdr3.org if you can help.

    --Greater St. Louis Book Fair is May 4-7 at Queeny Park. Come by CSO for volunteer info or visit website: www.stlouisbookfair.org

    --Maryland Heights Safety Town applications for summer are now available in the CSO!

    --Volunteers needed at Willow Brook Elem every Tues & Thurs from 5:30-8pm to mentor students on ELL nights. Contact Michelle Hill at: mhill@psdr3.org or come to CSO.

    -Math tutors needed at Heights Middle Tues, Wed, Thurs from 3:00-4:00. Come by CSO/A+ for info.

    --JCC--both locations--needs volunteers in in after school and early childhood programs as well as the following events:

               --Afternoons 4:00-6:00 Help with the kids "J" Club

               --Sundays from 2:00-5:00 Help with Childrens Theatre

               --May 1: Help with 2 functions 9am-1;00 and 4:30-8:30 (Israeli Bday Party & YomHaAtzmaut Celebration)

               --May 25-30--Senior Olympics --all weekend!

  • FAQs--Community Service Guidelines

    --50 hours are required to graduate/receive a PHS diploma.

    --Hours must be completed at a non-profit 501©(3) organization.

    --Hours may NOT be done at an individual's home or a private business.

    --Hours may not be completed during the school day unless the student has applied AND been accepted as an office worker or A+ tutor.

    --Students may not be excused from school to do service hours.

    --Students may NOT help teachers for service hours (this applies to Academic Lab time as well as before or after school)

    --All hours must be verified by the volunteer coordinator at the agency where hours are completed.

    --Students are responsible for submitting hours by the appropriate deadlines.
