Meet The Teacher
Just a little bit about me...
Hello! My name is Mrs. Nisa Peters. I am looking forward to being your first grade teacher this year. We will be working very closely together and I know we will learn many new things from each other. Let me tell you a little about myself.
First, I was born in Chicago, and then moved to a small town.....Robinson, Illinois...home of Heath Candy and Marathon Oil. I moved to St. Louis when I was in ninth grade. I graduated from Parkway North Senior High. I graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1983. I married, and moved to Colorado where I taught kindergarten. We then moved to Pennsylvania where I also taught kindergarten. I moved back to St. Louis in 1989 and began teaching at Carrollton Oaks as a kindergarten teacher. The following year I began teaching second grade. I then moved to Drummond Elementary teaching all grade levels. I have taught for a total of thirty years and look forward to teaching you this year.
I am a mom of two sons, Tanner and Connor. Tanner lives in Springfield, MO and Connor just graduated and was a collegiate swimmer for Western Illinois University. I have been a team mom for soccer, baseball, basketball, football, and swim teams. I chaperoned school dances, parties and just about anything else they found for me to do. Reading is a favorite hobby of mine. Amy Grant is my all time favorite performer. I have seen her many times in Colorado, Pennsylvania, and here in St. Louis. I also met her once in St. Louis.
